The Navy charges a uniform application fee for all categories under the Agnipath scheme. Always use the official CDAC portal (agniveernavy.cdac.in) to pay — never send money to any intermediary or agent.
Candidates must have been born between 01 November 2005 and 30 April 2009 (both dates inclusive) — ensuring they are between 17.5 and 21 years at the time of enrolment in November 2026. The Agniveer scheme does not typically provide category-based age relaxation given its youth-focused mandate.
| Post | Minimum Qualification | Subject Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Agniveer SSR | 10+2 Intermediate (any recognised board) | Must have Mathematics & Physics, plus at least one of: Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science |
| Agniveer MR | Class 10th (Matric) from any recognised board | No specific subject condition; General Awareness + basic Science/Math tested in INET |
For SSR, the 12th-grade Science background with Physics and Mathematics is essential — candidates from Commerce or Arts streams without these subjects are ineligible. For MR, the 10th pass is sufficient. Candidates should note that physical standards — including minimum height (157 cm for male SSR; 152 cm for female SSR), chest, and weight — are assessed during Stage II and must be met for final selection.
The Agniveer SSR/MR selection runs in two stages. Stage I is a computer-based INET exam consisting of objective questions covering English, Science, Mathematics, and General Knowledge. Candidates are shortlisted for Stage II based on their INET score and the number of available seats. Stage II includes a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) — 1.6 km run within 7 minutes (males) and 8.5 minutes (females), followed by push-ups, sit-ups, and squats — and a comprehensive Recruitment Medical Examination. Candidates clearing all stages are enrolled into the training batch at INS Chilka or another designated training establishment.
Important: Use only a desktop browser for the final submission to avoid mobile browser compatibility issues. Keep your Registration Number and Password stored safely — you will need them for admit card download.
